I have a soft spot for Ikoma – it was my home for the past 3 years. All my haunts were conveniently by the station – the local baths, the judo massage clinic, the shops, the amazing vegetarian restaurant… Whenever I had excess energy, I could hike up to Hozanji – a beautiful temple complex, like a mini Koyasan, which never got boring.
